We have an outstanding career opportunity for Customs Product Manager. The Customs Product Manager will develop CDZ product from scratch in accordance with corporate/country business strategy and local business environment to deliver maximum profit and optimize production within the existing structure

Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide Customs Product input to key country business decisions and programs
  • To develop overall growth strategy and steers
  • To manage and drives Customs P&L
  • To liaise with Sales on Sales activities and provides pricing and margin guidance, supports on bids, RFQs and customer presentations.
  • To set compliance standards and monitors adherence
  • To support in the implementation of global and regional brokerage solutions
  • To support capacity buying, pricing, SLAs (where works with third-party customs broker), to contract with broker and supervise and monitor broker’s quality and compliance

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Together with sales understand customer needs and requirements for this type of transportation
  • Communication and information sharing with Station Operations and CS, Sales
  • Evaluate current market proposal, competition and suppliers and define product strategy
  • Actively support sales in creating pipeline and opportunities and turn them into business growing turnover and profit (join visits to customers, commercial proposals)
  • Negotiate with Suppliers on contractual/business arrangements according to corporate policy and local regulatory requirements to arrange necessary operations - to achieve best buying rates
  • Develop and maintain good relationship with business partners inside and outside of the organization
  • Provide AFR expertise to other departments in cross-department activities

Background:

  • Education: University degree; additional education in economics or business is desirable
  • Industry experience
  • Customs brokerage license (if applicable)
  • Extensive knowledge of customs and the regulatory compliance environment
  • Relevant experience in Sales and business development
  • Professional qualification/certification in Logistics
  • Languages: Fluent English written and oral is a must

 

Experience:

  • 8+ years of in International experience in multinational companies, preferable CDZ sector.
  • 5 + years of in depth business process management experience / Product, Sales in Logistics industry with a proven track record in people management role
